Taylor Woods
Taylor Woods is a fill-in anchor and reporter for WCPO 9 News.
She joined the team in September 2024 after reporting for two years in Louisville, Kentucky at WHAS11 News.
During her time at WHAS11, the Indianapolis native reported on several stories including the investigation into the Louisville Metro Police Department, Old National Bank and Kentucky’s tornado damage.
Taylor graduated from Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism with a Master of Science degree in Journalism. During her time at Northwestern she was an anchor and reporter for Medill Reports. She was also a host for CAN-TV where she conducted interviews with Chicagoans about topics impacting the community.
Taylor also attended the University of Indianapolis where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Electronic Media Communication and Political Science in May 2021.
While there, Taylor was the news director of WICR-FM. She anchored weekly radio newscasts, assigned reporters with beats and led the team’s election coverage during the 2020 pandemic. She balanced her time as news director while working part-time at WISH-TV during her senior year.
Woods is a member of the National Association of Black Journalists.
In her spare time, Taylor loves to workout and spend time with family and friends.
